In 2016, marking the fiftieth anniversary of the death of Louis-Joseph Lebret (1897–1966), founder and promoter of the Economy and Humanism movement in France, CLAEH and the International Network of Human Economy organized a seminar aimed at addressing the current challenges of human and sustainable development, drawing inspiration from Lebret’s thought. In 1941, Fr. Lebret founded in Marseille the research and action center Economy and Humanism, which later continued its work from Paris through the IRFED (International Institute for Research and Training for Harmonized Development), contributing to the emergence of an alternative vision to economicism and advocating for an integral and harmonized model of development.
