The linguistic rights of deaf children in Uruguay

The purpose of this paper is to expand the space for analysis, propose different points of view and address different issues related to the rights of the best interests of the child, especially the deaf community. Its meanings, its representations are multiple and changing of the deaf community. We need a brief overview of the way in which the linguistic rights of deaf people have been reconceptualized, and we need to point out some milestones in this path.This vision sustains practices and discourses by hearing educators generally in segregated spaces and today deaf educators are engaged, raised, seen as subjects of law and linguistic rights.
